How this tool helps

Add your signature to any PDF document without printing. Draw your signature with your mouse or finger (on touchscreens), type your name in a signature font, or upload an image of your signature. Position and resize the signature anywhere on any page. Preview the signed document before downloading. Perfect for contracts, agreements, forms, letters, or any document that needs your signature. This creates a visual signature overlay - for legally binding digital signatures with certificates, use dedicated e-signature services. Your document and signature stay entirely on your device. Use it when you need to protect pdf, watermark pdf, add page numbers.

How it works

PDFWhisk renders your PDF with PDF.js for visual positioning. Your signature (drawn on a canvas, typed, or uploaded) is converted to a PNG image. PDF-lib then embeds this image at your chosen position and size on the selected page. The signature becomes part of the PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a legally binding digital signature?

This tool adds a visual signature image to your PDF. For legally binding cryptographic digital signatures (with certificates), use dedicated e-signature services like DocuSign. Visual signatures are accepted for many everyday documents.

Can I draw my signature on mobile?

Yes. The signature pad works with touch input. Use your finger to draw your signature on phones and tablets.

Can I add my signature to multiple pages?

Yes. Place your signature on one page, then choose to apply it to additional pages at the same position.

Can I upload an image of my signature?

Yes. Upload a PNG or JPG of your signature. Transparent backgrounds (PNG) work best. The image is resized and placed where you choose.

Can I remove the signature later?

The signature is permanently embedded in the PDF. Keep your original unsigned file if you need it.
